Mission: To help people investigate, understand and take action to address community health problems related to pollution.

Through the Healthy Waters/Healthy Communities Program, we help our Partners:

  • Investigate links between community health problems and pollution
  • Identify hazards and exposure routes
  • Monitor contamination levels
  • Research the known health effects of contaminants
  • Understand the basics of toxicology and epidemiology
  • Conduct Health Surveys
  • Develop action plans based on the data collected

    Through the Healthy Waters, Healthy Communities Project, River Network seeks to promote environmental justice by helping communities assess the links between water pollution and community health problems at the level of scientific rigor needed to enforce environmental laws, reform unjust policies, and solve pollution problems.

    River Network, a national non-profit organization, offers consulting, publications, trainings and small grants to help people raise money, build organizations, and monitor and protect rivers and watersheds.
